Steve has been passionate about food since the age of 15 when he discovered the delights of cookery through his Saturday job at a local restaurant. From here he chose to attend the prestigious Westminster Kingsway College to train as a Chef. His first role earned him a position in the kitchens at the House of Commons where he worked his way up from Commis to Senior Chef de Partie. It was during these summer recesses that Steve used his time to gain valuable experience in a number of high profile restaurants and hotels. His culinary journey later took him back to Westminster Kingsway College but this time as a Chef Lecturer where he not only had the privilege of teaching aspiring young chefs but also worked closely with The Fifteen Foundation to establish and support their training programme. Subsequent roles have seen Steve head-hunted to work within airline catering as a Senior Executive Chef for British Airways and retailer manufacturing as Head of Food for Ugo Food Group. Steve Walpole Limited was born in 2013, growing from a demand for the specialist knowledge and expertise that Steve is able to offer.
