Emily Hampton

Emily is a registered associate nutritionist with experience both in the food industry and the charity sector. She has been Head of Food Policy at Coeliac UK since 2018. Emily’s specialist knowledge of the gluten free diet, food legislation and nutrition guidelines, is used to develop standards and policy positions at the charity and consultancy to food business operators interested in providing gluten free options. She also provides expert advice in relation to the charity’s Gluten Free Accreditation and Crossed Grain Licensing food safety schemes.    

Coeliac UK is the charity for people who need to live without gluten. It provides independent, trustworthy advice and support and strives for better gluten free food in more places. Coeliac disease is a common autoimmune condition that affects an estimated 1 in 100 people in the UK. There is no cure and the only current treatment is a strict gluten free diet for life, to enable people to remain well and avoid the risk of serious health complications.
