Seminar Date & Time: Saturday 22nd May, 11.00 - 11.45
Speaker: Ms Lee Tomkins, Director of Migraine Action
Full Synopsis:
Diet and certain foods can be a factor in triggering migraine attacks; this may be caused by a food intolerance. Migraineurs can often react to more than one food, which means it can be a challenge to identify which foods are causing problems, and subsequently eliminating them from your diet. Lee looks at the latest thinking on the links between food and migraines and provides practical advice on controlling headaches.
Ms Lee Tomkins originally trained as a Nurse and Health Visitor, and after a change of career direction spent over 22 years in healthcare public relations, launching new medications and creating public health awareness campaigns in arthritis, diabetes and mental health. More recently Lee has been the Director of Migraine Action, a national charity which aims to raise awareness of migraine, support research into this misunderstood condition and offer support to migraineurs throughout the UK.
